The Grown Up Chocolate Company
The task was to create an original and inventive packaging design for a new personalised chocolate product. They were set to launch an exciting new product that will allow our customers to customise their own chocolate bars from a list of 100 quality (and grown up!) ingredients — from hazelnuts to almonds, cinnamon to sea salt.
The design would be presented in a box and wrapped in an
outer sleeve.
Remembering to keep it original, surprising yet simple whilst primarily promoting the brand and capturing their
playful personality.
The creative concept branched from the company’s tagline
‘nice try kids but it’s not for you’.
With research and looking into the brand’s personality we worked out the theory of what do kids not like?
Medicine!
Children don’t like taking medicine and would avoid anything that looks like it. Therefore whenever the chocolate box is around kids, people can just say
‘that’s my new treatment’.
This led us to add personalisation in the packaging by leaving a space for ‘Personalised Cure’ where customers have the option to state their reason for eating the chocolate when sending a gift.
